Aalto University est le regroupement depuis 2010 de trois anciennes universités finlandaises de haut niveau, aujourd’hui université innovante et multidisciplinaire entre les domaines du design, de l’architecture, de la technologie et des sciences économiques. Les cinq étudiants participants sont en Master of Arts de l’Université Aalto d’Helsinki, dont trois sont étudiants en design d’espace et deux en design et création textile. Ils sont tous intéressés par les différentes formes de l’art et du design dans les lieux publics, notamment dans le milieu urbain.

Will est une sculpture textile où la "rencontre de volume et de légèreté" crée un point de rencontre sous le baldaquin. L'installation génère l'ombre du soleil et crée un étrange moment tranquille pour s'arrêter et rencontrer ses amis. Les rubans blancs qui jouent avec la lumière et les ombres, mais aussi avec le vent créent des "structures de vie". Bien que la taille de l'installation soit large, l’effet visuel procuré est "subtil et délicat". L'installation tout en hauteur et étroite semblable à un puits crée une "atmosphère douce en son centre." Le tissu léger est coupé en larges rubans accrochés entre deux murs. Ces rubans blancs s'accrochent lâchement selon leur propre poids et ensemble forment la combinaison de l'installation recouvrant la cour. La couleur blanche, signe de pureté, de jeunesse et de nouveauté appelle aux changements.
“Will” is a textile sculpture where the “encounter of volume and lightness” creates meeting point under a canopy. The installation gives shade from the sun and creates a tranquil space to stop for a while or to meet with friends. White ribbons form layers for light and shadows to play with and wind will “blow life to the structure”. Although the size of the installation is large the visual appearance is not, it is “subtle and delicate”. Installation will take over the high and narrow shaft like space by creating “soft atmosphere in the middle” of hard material, exact structures and architectural patterns. Light fabric is cut into wide ribbons which will be hung between two walls. Single white ribbons hang loosely, and together they form the body of the installation. This white sculptural composition will fill the space in the courtyard. In nature, everything that is pure white is a sign of youth, new and temporary, something which will change. Permanent and stable buildings full of marks and traces meets temporary art piece which is only meant to live for a while.
