Si nous devions définir notre binôme en un mot ce serait la complémentarité. Lorsque nos parcours se sont croisés, il y a maintenant trois ans, nous avons très vite réalisé que nous partagions une même idée de l’architecture, in-situ et connectée à son environnement. Coralie, architecte DE et designer, fonde sa démarche sur l’expérience sensorielle et les émotions, explorant ainsi des futurs possibles. Thibaud, architecte HMONP, cultive une réflexion prospective sur l’architecture fiction à différentes échelles, tout en travaillant en agence sur de grands projets tertiaires bien réels. Ces approches créatives très différentes, viennent nourrir nos valeurs communes et emmènent nos réflexions vers des cheminements qui nous surprennent. Au delà de ces échanges, nous avions l’envie de travailler ensemble depuis quelques temps. Le FAV était donc l’occasion parfaite pour commencer une collaboration, expérimenter et proposer au public notre vision singulière de l’architecture : la recherche de sens et de sensibilité.
The perfect word to describe our duo would be complementary. When our paths crossed three years ago, we realized that we share a common idea of what architecture should be, in-situ and connected to its environnement. Coralie, architect DE and designer, develops an approach based on sensitive experiences and emotions to explore unknown possibilities. Thibaud, architect HMONP, conducts a prospective research on fictive architecture on various scales, while working on large architectural programs, in a Parisian agency. The combination of these two different approaches is a fertile ground to reinforce our common values and leads us to surprising and atypical ways of thinking. Beyond our intellectual exchanges, we had the willingness to work together for a while. In that extent, the FAV appears as the very best opportunity to start a collaboration and present our original vision of architecture : research of meaningful and sensitivity.

Transformé est une installation contemplative et radicale, qui questionne le lien entre la matière brute et l’intervention de l’architecte. Elle évoque ainsi la Beauté comme résultat d’un processus de création, ici l’architecture, mais aussi comme puissance latente présente dans la matière elle-même, qui ne demande qu’à être révélée. Un écrin de sable, une perle géante et la cour d’un bâtiment, classé monument historique : voici les trois éléments qui composent l’installation. Ils incarnent chacun une étape du cycle de transformation de la matière. Liés dans leurs proportions, le sable, la perle et la cour engagent un dialogue, entre le matériau primitif et l’objet transformé, les formes dessinées par l’architecte ou celles modelées par la loi naturelle de la gravité. Chacun mettant en valeur les particularités de l’autre, l’installation propose une ambiance méditative, qui invite le visiteur à chercher la Beauté dans ses multiples aspects.

Sand, a giant pearl and the courtyard of a building, classified as a historic monument: here are the three elements that make up the installation. They each embody a stage in the cycle of transformation of matter. Linked in their proportions, the sand, the pearl and the courtyard engage in a dialogue, between the primitive material and the transformed object, the forms drawn by the architect or those modeled by the natural law of gravity. Each highlighting the peculiarities of the other, the installation offers a meditative atmosphere, which invites visitors to look for beauty in its many aspects.
