Explorer l’existant et le transcrire dans un nouveau langage semble être particulièrement intéressant pour commencer à réfléchir sur le lien étroit entre les différents éléments historiques cohabitants dans un même espace temps. Un objet étranger est inséré dans la cour choisie. On peut le pénétrer, entrer, sortir, le contourner. Il est un paysage artificiel par lequel nous créons un parcours alternatif, en modifiant la morphologie de la cour. Il est formé par une superposition de strates de carton ondulé, découpées au laser, d’une précision extrême. Ces strates sont ensuite empilées afin de donner corps à l’objet. Des niches creusées dans la masse, sont perçues comme des vitrines d’un cabinet de curiosités, dans lesquelles des objets insolites sont insérés. Des objets absurdes n’ayant pas de rapport évident avec le lieu d’exposition. L’objet est conçu comme un îlot libre posé dans l’espace.
To explore built entities and to transcribe them into a new language seems to be particularly interesting to start thinking on the close link between the various historical elements cohabiting in the same space-time dimension. A foreign object is set in the courtyard. One can penetrate it, enter, leave, and circumvent it. It is an artificial landscape by which we create an alternate course, thus modifying the morphology of the courtyard. It is formed by a superimposition of layers of corrugated cardboard, cut out with the laser, with an extreme precision. These layers are then piled up in order to give shape to the project. Niches dug in the mass, are perceived like windows of a cabinet of curiosities, showing strange and surprising objects; a bunch of absurd objects having no obvious relationship with the exhibition place are set in the niches. The project is designed like a small and free island put in space.

Créée en 2008, KLNB est une agence Parisienne d’architecture représentée par deux architectes associés : Keeyong LEE (architecte dplg ENSA Marne-la-Vallée) et Nenad BASIC (architecte dplg ENSA Paris-Malaquais). Le travail de l’agence s’attache à établir de véritables liens contextuels avec un geste programmatique clair, trouver un fonctionnement pertinent et enfin à apporter une émotion propre à chaque projet. Les réflexions menées par les deux associés s’inscrivent dans des sujets actuels importants, notamment la qualité environnementale dès le début d’intervention. Les productions de l’agence sont fondées sur plusieurs cultures différentes, créatrices de la synergie et de la richesse dans les processus de conception. Ils ont travaillé respectivement pour ECDM (Keeyong LEE, 2007-2008), Manuelle Gautrand (Nenad BASIC, 2007-2008), Jacob + Macfarlane (Nenad BASIC, 2002) et pour X-TU (Keeyong LEE + Nenad BASIC, 2004-2007) où ils se sont rencontrés.
