PORTE(E) - Rosine AUTRAN & Elodie BOUIN & Jorge CALDERON-ARIAS & Fréderic GANICHOT
Montpellier / Toulouse / Lyon // France

Due to the encounter of Elodie Bouin, Rosine Autran and Frédéric Ganichot at «Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Montpellier» a collective of artists is born, named “Porté(e)”. Our shared vision of design leads us to point out other knowledge of art, by means of multiple projects. In order to achieve this common goal Jorge Calderón Arias (backgrounds both in dance and engineering) joined us. By means of his skills, he contributes to the development of our investigation fields.
This multidisciplinary group gathering architecture, scenery, dancing, landscape and technicality is driven by the desire to understand the artistic creation world using sensibility, onirism and consistency as well.

What would sensuality be without our ability to imagine?
The desire to succeed in recognizing what we touch but cannot see inspires an intimate puzzling mystery in relation with the curiosity of our senses. Suggestions are quickly conveyed to the mind in the form of an image flash. Through this project, different textures, materials and sounds evoke the rich natural world of the seabed, but also everything humans could have thrown inside it…This pixelated wave suggests a senses experience with the provocative exhibition of moving bodies. Imagining what our bare feet touch on this sensory carpet, as when we plunge under the seawater, makes us sensitive to the natural environment fragility Thanks to the pleasure of the sensuality.
