Céline Aubernias, Alice Mahin et Chloé Sanson, ont esquissé leur collaboration à l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Paysage de Versailles avant de suivre chacune une voie personnelle. Chloé Sanson en articulant son travail autour de l’illustration; Céline Aubernias en travaillant au sein de grandes agences de paysage et d’architecture, Alice Mahin en exerçant à son compte depuis 2007, privilégiant les projets de maîtrise d’œuvre publique. Lauréat 2012 des Albums des Jeunes Architectes et Paysagistes décerné par le Ministère de la culture, l’Atelier Roberta s’attache à conserver une pratique éclectique de son métier en choisissant de ne pas se « spécialiser », mais développer une activité mêlant maîtrise d’œuvre classique, études paysagères, projets artistiques, enseignement, illustration etc. Cette multiplicité de sujets lui permet de conserver une vision transversale des questions de paysage et d’éviter tout systématisme pour offrir aux sujets abordés une réflexion spécifiquement liée au site et à la demande.

Céline Aubernias, Alice Mahin and Chloé Sanson, started their teamwork at the École Nationale Supérieure du Paysage de Versailles before engaging on unique paths: Chloé Sanson developed her work in the field of illustration, Céline Aubernias joined the teams of renowned landscape and architecture firms, while Alice Mahin started her own practice in 2007 to focus mostly on public projects. Winner of the French Culture Ministry’s Albums des Jeunes Architectes et Paysagistes Award in 2012, Atelier Roberta seeks to preserve an eclectic practice of landscape architecture – deliberately choosing not to specialize and maintaining a multidisciplinary approach of classic project management, landscape studies, artistic projects, teaching , illustration etc. This diversity allows them to apply a transverse vision to landscape, avoiding any systematism, and to offer an approach always tailored to the site and project at hand.


Pour cette édition anniversaire qui se doit d’être fêtée, nous avons imaginé une installation éphémère en en éliminant l’aspect jetable, pouvant disparaître entièrement sans laisser de déchets. Nous proposons de fabriquer un gâteau spécial. Un gâteau qui se coule sur le sol et surprend par sa présence. Cette curieuse pâtisserie est constituée d’Agar Agar, gelée nourricière à la présence étrange et évanescente qui va servir de milieu de culture. Des milliers de graines y sont semées et cette surface plantée sera changeante au long du festival. La germination et la pousse pourront être observées à l’échelle du temps de l’évènement. Le dernier jour, le gâteau est coupé et distribué, non pas pour manger sa part, mais bien pour la transporter, la planter chez soi, où les graines pourront s’installer et fleurir. L’installation disparaît ainsi simplement, dans les mains de chacun, emmenant son morceau.

For this birthday edition, which indeed has to be duly celebrated, we’ve imagined a short-lived arrangement yet able to entirely disappear without any rubbish being left behind afterwards. We suggest making a very special cake. It’ll be poured and set up on the ground and will surge there as an amazing presence. This strange pastry is to be made of «Agar Agar» , a special nourishing jelly whose evanescent presence is used as a means of growth. Thousands of seeds will be sown and this sowed surface will be evolving as long as the festival lasts. Visitors will be able to watch the processes of germination and growth during the festival. On the final day, the cake will be cut and share , not to be eaten of course , but for each slice to be carried away and sown at home where the seeds will finish growing and burst into flowers . Thus, the arrangement simply disappears into every one’s hands and everyone takes its own helping to make it grow somewhere else.
