Pour le Festival des Architectures Vives à Montpellier, notre projet propose l’installation d’une forêt mobile métallique, faite d’une structure de tenségrité. La tenségrité caractérise la capacité d’une structure à se stabiliser par le jeu des forces de tension et de compression qui s’y répartissent et s’y équilibrent. Dans le cas présent, la structure réalisée en tubes et câbles porte des panneaux, de couleurs choisies spéci¬fiquement en fonction des dimensions et des teintes du lieu. Jouant avec le vent, le soleil et les ombres, les éléments articulés de la structure oscillent et les panneaux reflètent leurs nuances sur les murs de la cour. Les changements de lumière au cours de la journée affectent l’installation et créent un renouvellement permanent du lieu.
For the Festival of Architectures Sharp in Montpellier, our project proposes the installation of a metal mobile forest, made of a structure of tensegrity. The tensegrity characterizes the capacity of a structure to be stabilized by the play of the forces of tension and of compression which are distributed there and balance there. In this case, the structure carried out out of tubes and cables carries panels, colors chosen specifically according to dimensions and colours of the place. Playing with the wind, the sun and the shades, the articulated elements of the structure oscillate and the panels reflect their nuances on the walls of the court. The changes of light during the day affect the installation and create a permanent renewal of the place.
