FARGA est une agence de deux jeunes architectes engagés sur les sujets de l’habitat et des modes de vies contemporains. Chaque projet est un espace unique en devenir, singulier à l’image des personnes qui l’ont souhaité, conçu et bâti. Cette recherche nous libère des mises en œuvre conventionnelles au profit d’un véritable travail d’artisanat au plus proche de la matière brute. La matière a une valeur, la proximité avec la ressource et le travail de l’artisan nous la montre. De ce fait, nous avons à cœur d’apporter une réponse à la juste mesure du projet.
FARGA is an office formed by two young architects, involved in the topics of housing and contemporary lifestyles. Each project is a unique space to come, unique as the people who wanted it, the one who designed and and the one who built it. This approach frees us from conventional implementations in favor of a real craft work as close as possible to the raw material. The proximity with the resource and the work of the craftsman reveals the value of the materials. As a result, we are committed to a thoughtful answer to every project.

Les colonnes miroitantes reflètent la montée des eaux dans trois lagunes européennes : Venise, Rotterdam, Fos-sur-Mer. Leurs traits de côte respectifs - dont le dessin actuel ourle le sommet des cylindres - évoluent à une vitesse croissante, modifiés par la montée des eaux et l’érosion de nos côtes.
L’installation est immersive, et la perception d’un mouvement virtuel, provoqué par le changement de point de vue du spectateur tire ses racines de l’art optique des années 1960. Les cylindres reflètent la cour, le sol, le ciel, eux-mêmes et surtout le déplacement des visiteurs. Ils leur renvoient leur propre image déformée, influe leurs parcours. La distorsion de la réalité ainsi provoquée, trouvant son inspiration dans les œuvres de Anish Kapoor, annonce une perturbation de nos références.
« Débords de mer » interroge, d’une manière ludique et poétique notre rapport au monde et à son évolution, au connu comme à l’inconnu, au tangible et à l’immatériel.
The shimmering columns refer to the rising sea levels in three European lagoons: Venice, Rotterdam, Fos-sur-Mer. Their respective coastlines – whose layouts are cut out on the top of the cylinders – are evolving faster and faster, modified by the rising waters and erosion of our coasts.
The installation is immersive, and the perception of a virtual movement, result of the ever-changing views of the spectator is rooted in the optical art of the 1960s. The cylinders reflect the courtyard, the ground, the sky, themselves and especially the movement of the visitors. They are surrounded with their own distorted image, their paths are influenced by the reflections. The distortion of reality thus provoked, finding its inspiration in the works of Anish Kapoor, announces a disruption in our common background.
