Toutes deux diplômées à l’école d’architecture de Paris La villette, la rencontre se fait cependant en 2008 au sein de l’agence Rare architecture, à Paris puis à Londres. De cette première collaboration naîtra une amitié et l’envie de partager, de confronter nos visions de l’architecture. Après des expériences professionnelles au sein de différentes agences et différentes villes où nos horizons s’élargissent et des projets d’équipes menés à distance, nous nous retrouvons à Londres de nouveau avec l’ambition d’étoffer et d’intensifier notre réflexion commune tout en continuant à développer nos expressions individuelles. Nos champs d’investigations scrutent autant l’architecture, les phénomènes sociologiques que l’art contemporain, de la plus petite à la plus large des échelles.
Both graduated at the School of Architecture of Paris La Villette, we met in 2008 within the London and Paris based office Rare architecture. This first collaboration was the starting point of both a friendship and a will to share and to confront our architectural visions and questionings. After developing simultaneously our professional experiences within different offices and different cities and keeping working jointly on common projects, we met again in London in 2012. With a strong ambition to look for new challenges, we are working closely together on projects whilst still exploring our individual architectural sensitivities. Our fields of investigation interrogate as much architecture, sociological phenomenas than contemporary art, from the smallest to the largest scale.

La Grande Motte est une ville qui a été construite à partir d’une page blanche et est maintenant en train de devenir partie intégrante du patrimoine architectural français. La qualité spatiale et plastique de son architecture, inspirées des grands noms de l’architecture moderne, perdure mais qui se souvient de l’histoire derrière sa conception?La recherche d’archive du passage Acapulco a révélée des plans d’une grande qualité graphique, et une réalisation bien différente des plans originaux! L’installation propose la superposition de la conception et de la réalisation, jusque dans les moindres détails du projet initial, les tracés, les textures, les codes architecturaux, colonisant le sol, les murs, le plafond, pour raviver le souvenir de la création de ce lieu et l’explorer, de jour comme de nuit...
La Grande Motte was built in the Seventies as an experiemental resort city that popped out of the ground in a few years and is now becoming integral part the French architectural heritage. Its strong architectural expression has been inspired from the great names of modern architecture. But whilst the buildings remains, who remember the story behind their conception? The historical research of the passage Acapulco revealed the hand drawn original plans, and their rich graphics. It also quickly appeared as well that the realized project was significanlty different than the intentional drawings! The installation overlays the original design in its smallest details, to the passage, including lines, textures, architectural conventions... It colonizes the walls, the floor and the canopy to revive the memory of the creation of this place and explore it, by day and by night …
