Nous sommes deux jeunes architectes diplômés de l’ENSAP Bordeaux 2012. Dés les premiers jours de notre arrivée à l’école, nous nous sommes rencontrés, non pas sur les bancs de l’amphi, mais en se croisant dans les couloirs de notre résidence. Pochettes sous le bras et T à dessin dans l’autre, nous ont interpellés l’un et l’autre. De cette rencontre est née une belle histoire d’amitié, entre nuits blanches productives et festives, avec rigueur et bonne humeur, et entre coups de mains et quelques (rares) coups de gueule. Notre regard sur l’architecture nous a toujours lié ; les interactions entre art, urbanisme et architecture sont des inspirations qui nous portent dans notre parcours de jeunes architectes. C’est pourquoi nous sommes aujourd’hui, très fiers de participer au Festival des Architectures Vives et de porter ce projet ensemble.
We are two young architects graduated from ENSAP Bordeaux in 2012. From the first days of our arrival at the school, we met, not on the benches of the amphitheater, but crossing the corridors of our residence. Pockets under the arm and a drawing T in the other, we have arrested one and the other. From this meeting was born a beautiful story of friendship between productive sleepless nights and festive, with rigor and good humor, and by the sound of hands and some (rare) rants. Our view of architecture has always linked us and interactions between art, architecture and urbanism are inspirations that lead us in our journey of young architects. That is why today we are proud to participate to the Festival des Architectures Vives and to bring this project together.

L’œuvre est une réinterprétation de l’album photo, un recueil de souvenirs. Posés au sol, les cadres symbolisent les cadrans-photos dans lesquels chacun peut projeter un souvenir qui lui est propre. A un âge, une taille donnée, un souvenir refait surface. L’installation se compose de plusieurs hauteurs de cadres, qui correspondent aux rapports taille/âge moyenne dans la croissance d’une personne. Le 1er cadre (93cm) fait référence à l’âge de 3ans, âge moyen où les premiers souvenirs s’imprègnent dans la mémoire de façon pérenne. Puis, le cadre et l’humain grandissent, « un cadre tous les deux ans » jusqu’à celui de la taille adulte (1m76, taille moyenne d’un homme en France). Par la suite, ce cadre se répète, physiquement l’humain ne grandit plus, jusqu’au dernier d’une hauteur plus haute, marquant en quelque sorte, le souvenir ultime, la sortie, la fin de vie.
The work is a reinterpretation of the album, a collection of memories. Placed on the floor, frames dials symbolize the photo in which everyone can project a memory of its own. At an age, a given size, a memory surfaced. The installation consists of several heights frames, corresponding to reports size / average age in the growth of a person. The first frame (93cm) refers to the age of 3 years, mean age of first memories are imbued in the memory in a lasting way. Then, the frame and the human grow, « a frame every two years » to that of the adult size (1m76, average size of a man in France). Thereafter, this frame is repeated, the human no longer physically grows, until the last of a higher height, marking somehow the ultimate souvenir, exit, end of life.
