Tous deux diplômés de l’ENSA Paris Val-de-Seine, Vincent Bizot et Nicolas Boucher exercent actuellement en agence, l’un à Paris et l’autre à Strasbourg. Ayant commencé à travailler ensemble depuis 2019, alors qu’ils étaient en deuxième année, ils ont pu apprendre à mettre en commun leurs différences au service de leur production architecturale.
Vincent pour sa part développe ses concepts suite à ses multiples expériences en Asie qui ont contribué à forger ses inspirations. Il croit profondément en la multidisciplinarité du métier d’architecte, cette conviction est à la source des projets de design et de graphisme qu’il développe dans son temps libre.
Nicolas quant à lui met à contribution sa sensibilité profonde du milieu rural dans un dialogue contextuel permanent entre le monde de l’homme et le monde de la nature. Il met à profit ce sentiment inné dans ses projets d’illustration et d’écriture qu’il enrichit en parallèle de son travail.
Both graduates of ENSA Paris Val-de-Seine, Vincent Bizot and Nicolas Boucher currently work in architectural firms, one in Paris and the other in Strasbourg. Having started working together in 2019, when they were in their second year, they have learned to use their differences in the service of their architectural production.
Vincent develops his concepts following his many experiences in Asia, which have helped shape his inspirations. He is a firm believer in the multidisciplinary nature of the architectural profession, and this conviction is at the root of the design and graphic projects he develops in his spare time.
Nicolas draws on his deep sensitivity to the rural environment in an ongoing contextual dialogue between the world of humans and the world of nature. He puts this innate feeling to good use in his illustration and writing projects, which he enriches in parallel with his work.
Oscillations :
La musique, dialogue entre mélodie et rythme, est à la base de notre inspiration pour créer une installation évolutive. Plutôt que représenter un rythme sous la forme d’un objet fixe et statique, il nous paraît plus juste de le rendre mouvant et évolutif. Les visiteurs du festival, par leur type de démarche, leur nombre, leur vitesse, offrent une combinaison infinie de possibilités rythmiques.
Montpellier, ville vibrante à l’avant-garde de la musique contemporaine, nous a permis d’approfondir le concept du projet. Les formes d'ondes, éléments fondamentaux de la musique électronique, deviennent un son lorsqu'elles se combinent entre elles, comme mélanger les couleurs sur une palette. Nous voulons donc construire ces formes d’ondes originellement en deux dimensions dans notre monde en trois dimensions, chacune ayant une forme propre à sa sonorité. Dans le but de créer une représentation physique et tangible du volume d’une harmonie.
L'installation invite à une expérience immersive où les visiteurs, en parcourant cette nouvelle géométrie musicale, deviennent partie intégrante d’un rythme en perpétuelle écriture.
Montpellier, a vibrant city at the forefront of contemporary music culture, gave us the opportunity to explore the project’s concept in greater depth. Waveforms, fundamental elements of electronic music, become sound when they are combined, like mixing colors on a palette. That is why we want to build these originally two-dimensional waveforms in our three-dimensional world, each with its own specific shape based on the sound it produces. The aim is to create a physical, tangible representation of the volume of a harmony.
The installation invites visitors to an immersive experience, in which, as they move through this new musical geometry, they become an integral part of a perpetually written rhythm.
